Spyware for Cell Phones

With new technology speeding through development all the time, cell phones have moved from just a telephone, to a mobile Internet station. New cells phones are equipped with constant links to the Internet, downloadable content and programs and even fully functional Internet browsers and email clients. With these fantastic upgrades also came the new art of cell phone spyware. The same spyware that was once only a threat to personal computers is not a very real and viable threat to cell phone systems. Spyware for cell phones is one of the most unrealized dangers a cell phone users fails to realize.

Spyware for cell phones works in a very similar way to spyware for personal computers. The spyware collects data from the phone usage and logs without the permission of the cell phone user. This information can be used for solicitation or even identity theft.

On the other side of the spyware coin, certain spyware for cell phone programs are being used by parents to track the usage of their children's cell phones. This spyware collects information on phone usage, call times and even the number and data included in text messages.

It is clear that spyware for cell phones is a very real threat to cell phone users. Nearly all cell phones currently have the ability to access the Internet. As soon as the Internet is accessed, spyware can leak into the cell phone system and begin to track all of the data from your phone.

The huge threat posed by spyware for cell phones is one that is rarely noticed by cell phone users. Even more of a threat surrounds the fact that cell phone users are getting younger and younger all the time. Children and teens often give out very personal information through text messages. This information can be collected by spyware for cell phones and used in a harmful way.
